A Third of A Generation Missing

Between 1997 and 2020, an estimated 26 million preborn babies in Generation Z were lost to abortion, nearly 28% of their entire generation. Almost one third of Gen Z never had the chance to take their first breath, a number greater than the population of Florida in and larger than the population of every U.S. state except Texas and California.

History shows us other moments when millions of lives were taken and justified with clever labels. Today, abortion is often framed as healthcare or even as human rights. But true healthcare heals, and true human rights protect. They don’t eliminate 28% of a generation.

That’s not progress. That’s not freedom. That is genocide. That is eugenics.

It’s time for us to mourn the innocent lives lost, the human beings from Gen Z who never had the chance to grow up, to dream, and to live. And it’s time to speak clearly and courageously, declaring that we don’t want to see any more of our brothers and sisters erased.

The future belongs to those willing to speak the truth in love. Gen Z, this is your moment. Will you rise up and be a voice for those who have no voice?

Though the eradication of one third of a generation is a heavy and sobering reality, there is hope. We are seeing many in this generation rise up. Across the nation, young people are standing together in prayer, declaring that abortion will not define their future. God is stirring hearts and uniting voices. You can be a part of what He is doing. Join us at a Youth For Life Prayer Walk in your city on September 13, and add your voice to the growing chorus that is proclaiming life.
