Momentum Is Building

Momentum is a powerful thing. When the Spirit of God moves His people into action, what starts as a small ripple becomes a wave that cannot be stopped. That wave is moving through cities across our nation, and last Saturday it could be seen and felt on sidewalks from Florida to California.

Seventy eight churches from across denominational lines stepped into that wave together, mobilizing 2,091 believers to Love Life prayer walks. It was our largest single Saturday turnout so far this year, a visible sign that momentum is growing and the Church is uniting to see darkness pushed back.

In South Florida, believers endured torrential rain to stand in front of an abortion center that may soon close for good. The building’s owner has decided not to renew the lease, which would make this the second abortion center in two years to shut down in South Florida after the Church began to pray there. The weather could not dampen the faith and worship of those who came to intercede.

In Charlotte, more than 400 people gathered in unity, filling the streets with prayer and worship as they interceded for mothers, fathers, and their precious children.

In Birmingham, Alabama, eighty three prayer walkers filled the streets, the largest gathering there in three years. In Chapel Hill, more than 100 people showed up to pray, the biggest turnout since Love Life launched in the city four years ago.

These stories are only a glimpse of what God did on Saturday, as other Love Life cities also experienced powerful prayer walks and life changing moments.

The momentum did not stop with the prayer walks. In Bellingham, Washington, our teams celebrated the very first baby saved at the Planned Parenthood where they have been faithfully present. In Southern California, five people professed faith in Jesus through the ministry of sidewalk teams.

Every gathering, every prayer, and every testimony adds to the growing movement of God’s people. Momentum is building, and as the Church continues to rise in unity, we are seeing lives saved, hearts changed, and the light of Christ shine in the darkest places. What began as a ripple is now a wave, and it is only gaining strength. Will you be a part of it? Go to lovelife.org/connect to see how you can get involved.
