Across the nation, many are standing for life through petitions urging Congress to defund Planned Parenthood. These efforts matter, but we believe God is offering the Church a historic opportunity to do something more. The Pastor Pledge is a bold, unified appeal to heaven and to our nation’s leaders. It is not just about changing policy. It is a spiritual response and a call for pastors to rise up together in truth, love, and action.

A Prophetic Plea to Defend Life

The Pastor Pledge is a direct appeal from pastors to President Trump. We are inviting pastors across the nation to add their names in unity. It is a prophetic plea to defend life and a personal commitment to make the Church a refuge for families facing unexpected pregnancies.

Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in America, performing nearly 390,000 abortions every year while receiving close to 700 million dollars in government funding. For decades, this organization has profited from the destruction of innocent lives and has contributed to a culture that devalues life and distorts truth. The Pastor Pledge calls on leaders to confront this reality with truth, courage, and compassion.

A Commitment by the Church

The heart of the Pastor Pledge is captured in this appeal to President Trump:

“We prayerfully plead with you to take immediate action to stop all government funding to Planned Parenthood…”

But this is more than a plea to the President. It is also a pledge from pastors and churches across the nation. As the pledge states:

“We pledge to make our churches places of refuge for families considering abortion. By partnering with pregnancy care centers and other life-affirming ministries, we stand ready to offer compassionate support to mothers, fathers, and children in need.”

This is the Church putting action to conviction, creating safe places where families can run for help, not harm.

Pastor Jay Stewart of The Refuge Church said, “When families run to the church rather than to an abortion clinic, we have a chance to journey with both mom and baby and be part of a double miracle.”

God Is Moving Across the Nation

What we are witnessing is not just a political shift—it is the fruit of persistent prayer and faithful presence. For years, the Church has been showing up, standing in the gap, and interceding for life at some of the darkest places in our cities.

One powerful example is in New York City, where the largest Planned Parenthood location—once known as the Margaret Sanger Center—is shutting its doors. This seven-story facility was responsible for nearly 11,000 abortions every year. Just blocks from where Margaret Sanger first cast her vision for Planned Parenthood, this stronghold is now being dismantled.

For six years, believers have gathered outside this building to pray. Their presence has been constant. Their prayers have been bold. And now, their faithfulness is bearing fruit.

And it is not just in New York. Planned Parenthood locations are closing across the country. Years of intercession, fasting, and Gospel-centered presence are making an undeniable impact.

But this is not the time to pull back. It is time to press forward.

A Historic Moment for Pastors

Dr. Rob Pacienza, Senior Pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church and a member of the Faith Advisory Team appointed by President Trump, will personally deliver the signed Pastor Pledge to the President by June 24, 2025, marking three years since the overturning of Roe v. Wade. He said, “I urge every pastor to take a stand and sign the pledge, moving one step closer to eradicating abortion in our lifetime.”

The goal is to see at least 1,000 pastors across the nation sign the Pastor Pledge and declare that the Church is ready. Ready to love. Ready to lead. Ready to be the place families turn to in their time of need.

This Is a Prophetic Moment

We invite both pastors and church members to take action. If you are a pastor, sign the Pastor Pledge to add your voice to a unified appeal being delivered to President Trump.

Throughout Scripture, we see godly leaders appealing to kings and rulers on behalf of justice and righteousness. Moses stood before Pharaoh. Esther approached the king to save her people. John the Baptist confronted Herod. Paul reasoned with governors and kings, appealing for justice and truth. These were not just political acts. They were prophetic moments when God’s people stepped in to shine His light in the halls of power.

In that same spirit, this pledge is a holy appeal. It is not rooted in politics but in conviction and truth. If you are not a pastor, you can still play a vital role by encouraging your pastor to sign the pledge and by sharing it with your church community. Together, we can send a powerful message to our nation and its leaders, calling for an end to the injustice of abortion and the funding of Planned Parenthood.
