This Is How Cities Begin to Change

People often wonder what it looks like for a city to change.

Not in theory.
Not someday.
But in real time.

This Saturday, across 26 cities, we saw it.

36 churches stepped into the mission field. Different denominations. Different backgrounds. But all with the same conviction that when the Church shows up, God moves.

And what we are witnessing is not random. It is not isolated. It is how change begins.

In Greensboro, NC, 85 believers gathered outside an abortion center that has now ceased abortions and is set to close its doors for good at the end of the month.

The first prayer walk since that news broke.

That didn’t happen overnight. It came through years of prayer. Years of presence. Years of the Church stepping into that place and believing God for something different.

But Greensboro is not the only story.

In Raleigh, NC, 269 prayer walkers gathered. At a facility that is typically busy on Saturdays, there were only 6 patients that day.

And one of them chose life.

In Greenville, SC, the abortion center that once operated on Saturdays is now closed on Saturdays.

In Southern California—cities like Orange County, Riverside, and beyond—God is moving. In Riverside, CA, a mom chose life during the prayer walk.

We’re also seeing this pattern in Washington State, Northern California, Chicago, Detroit, and other cities across the nation.

From the East Coast to the West Coast, change is unfolding, city by city.

In Charlotte, NC, 166 believers gathered, continuing a steady and faithful presence in a city where this movement first began.

If you step back, you can start to see it.

What looks like isolated moments is actually something much bigger.

A pattern is forming.

This is what happens when the Church steps into the mission field and begins to take responsibility for what is happening in their city.

Things begin to shift.

Not always all at once.
Not always in ways you can immediately see.
But steadily.

Brick by brick.

A clinic begins to slow down.
A day gets removed from the schedule.
A mother changes her mind.
A door eventually closes.

This is how cities begin to change.

And while we are grateful for what we are seeing, we know there is still more to be done.

There are still cities where abortion centers remain open.
Still mothers who feel like they have no other option.
Still places waiting for the Church to step in.

But if this weekend showed us anything, it is this:

Change is not just possible. It is already happening.
