Riverside, CA reported EIGHT saved babies last week! This is remarkable fruit of a faithful team that shows up on the sidewalk whether they see tangible results or not. Byron and Louisa Aguirre have served with Love Life since 2020 with Love Life, and in January of this year they stepped into the role of City Directors for Riverside County. They now oversee the mission field at abortion centers in Riverside, Marietta, Corona, and Indio.
When we connected with Byron to hear about this incredible week, he explained that at first they knew of two babies saved. Then came a call from a local pregnancy resource center, ZOI Pregnancy Care Center in Corona, CA. Their team reported that six moms had chosen life recently as a direct result of Love Life’s Sidewalk Outreach (SWO) teams. These moms left the abortion center and went on to ZOI for ultrasounds.
Byron and the team were overjoyed to hear about those six, but the good news kept growing. ZOI also told them that in the prior year, fourteen moms had chosen life after connecting with Love Life sidewalk teams. Without even knowing it, the Corona team had been part of twenty moms choosing life in just one year.
“It was an amazing testimony to the sidewalk teams that they continued to serve faithfully not knowing any of this,” Byron shared. “It shows that God blesses what His children do whether we know it or not. They were so excited…we all were…I mean look at what God did!”

Byron has witnessed firsthand that when God is at work, He provides for every detail. His wife Louisa once mentored Alicia, the first mom in Riverside County to choose life after meeting the team. When Alicia’s family disowned her for her decision, she had nowhere to stay while finishing school.
“God’s timing is perfect,” Byron said. “We just happened to have a spare room, and she stayed in our home for a couple of months. It was a blessed time as she was growing in the Lord. It was really good because she saw we were putting feet to our faith, letting her live with us.”
There are challenges too. As Byron explains, “As City Director, I want it all to happen now. Specifically, we need more SWO volunteers now at every center. Along with that we need more partnering churches now. This is hard ground to till out here, and we have spent months talking with some churches. Four have been onboarded as House of Refuge Churches, which is not bad, but we would like to see more.”
Even with these challenges, Byron continues to anchor himself in two truths. “Our lives are going to be spent, no matter what…might as well spend them glorifying God. And everything is His. He doesn’t need us, but He allows us to take part. I used to get nervous, but now I share my faith with everyone if God gives me an opening. I no longer feel anxious…now I ask who is the Lord putting in my path today?”
That is the heartbeat of the faithful sidewalk teams in Riverside County. Week after week they show up, not always seeing immediate fruit, but trusting the Lord of the harvest. And now, through their persistence, we see what only God could do—EIGHT babies saved in one week, and twenty more in the past year.
“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
