Sidewalk Outreach
Sidewalk Outreach volunteers stand on the front lines, sharing the Gospel
and extending prayer, compassion, and life-affirming resources to women
and families as they approach abortion centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Work along other volunteers to offer information about available resources.
- Provide spiritual support through prayer and conversations.
- Winsomely share the Gospel with those at the abortion center.
Time & Training
Volunteers receive initial training on communication, safety, and
de-escalation. They will shadow trained counselors as part of the
training process. Sidewalk Outreach typically requires a weekly,
bi-weekly, or monthly commitment.
Life Mentors
Life Mentors support women and families facing unplanned pregnancies,
offering guidance and encouragement.
Why Become a Life Mentor?
Many families who choose life simply need someone to walk alongside them.
As a mentor, you can provide emotional and spiritual support while
connecting them to vital resources within your church and community. You
can also help organize a baby shower to supply essential items for their
journey.
Mentoring Activities
-
Regular check-ins (phone calls, texts, meetings) to provide emotional
support.
-
Connecting mentees with community resources such as pregnancy
resources centers, housing resources, job training, etc.
-
Encouraging spiritual growth through prayer, Bible study, and church
involvement.
Prayer Walk Volunteers
Prayer Walk Volunteers help mobilize believers to pray outside abortion
centers by assisting with setup and teardown, serving on the observation
team, or facilitating various aspects of the prayer walk to ensure
attendees can stay focused and engaged in prayer.
Getting Started
First, attend a prayer walk to experience it for yourself. Then, complete
an application. Once approved, you’ll be connected with a local prayer
walk leader and receive the necessary training.
Volunteer Duties May Include:
- Setting up and tearing down prayer walk materials
- Greeting attendees as they arrive
- Assisting with check-in
- Directing prayer walkers to ensure safety
- Helping in any way needed to create a meaningful experience
Orphan Care
Love Life Orphan Care is a movement of Christians dedicated to ending the
local orphan crisis by engaging in foster care, adoption, and supporting
families who take on these roles. With over 100,000 children waiting to
be adopted, many face uncertain futures. True pro-life advocacy means
protecting orphans both inside and outside the womb.
"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy
dwelling. God sets the lonely in families..." – Psalm 68:5-6
Focus Areas
- Guidance on foster care and short-term child placement.
- Adoption support and resources for prospective adoptive parents.
- Respite care for foster families to prevent burnout.
How to Get Involved
Whether you are ready to foster, adopt, or simply support families who
do, there are various ways to help. Our monthly informational meeting is
a good first step in the right direction.
