A local church reached out to our South Florida City Director, Ezra Deane, with an urgent request. A young mother, pregnant with twins, was considering abortion and needed someone to talk with.
The pastor said, “You guys are specialists in this area. We have a young mother who is pregnant with twins and is considering abortion. Could you talk with her?”
Naturally, he said yes.
Ezra and his wife spent time listening to her story. She courageously shared her fears, and one stood out above the rest. She felt completely alone. She was living in Florida, far from her family and support system in New Jersey, and overwhelmed by the weight of carrying twins without help.
They spoke with her about her value, about how both she and her babies are made in the image of God, and that she was not alone, even if it felt that way. As she wept, they shared that help was not just possible, it was already available.
Ezra and his wife explained the Love Life mentorship and support network, including practical, relational, and church based care. She was stunned by the level of support and, after hearing what was available to her, she chose LIFE.
From there, the story only grew more beautiful.
They reached out to their network of partnering churches with one clear need, to raise the funds required to relocate her back to her support system in New Jersey. Within a single week, four churches stepped up together and fully met the need.
Then local volunteers went into action. A team showed up at her home to help pack, remove TV mounts, disassemble beds, and prepare everything for the move. A local moving company, Solomon and Sons, generously handled the remainder of the relocation.
What began as fear and isolation ended in unity, compassion, and hope, not only for a mother, but for her twin babies who are alive today because a community said “yes.”
This is a story of faith in action.
She gave birth to two healthy twin girls, Layla Dream and Myla Grace. She reached out overjoyed and grateful for the help she received, sharing that she is now going deeper in her faith.
