We believe that the Church is the most powerful entity on the planet. Jesus said that the gates of hell would not prevail against His Church.
Every month on the second Saturday, churches in Love Life cities across the nation unite at the darkest places in their communities. We are not there to protest or picket, but to shine the light of Christ through prayer and worship.
In a recent meeting, our leaders were reminded of the power of prayer and worship as we took a fresh look at 2 Chronicles 20. God instructed the Israelites, under the leadership of King Jehoshaphat, to lead the battle with worshippers at the front. Victory came not through human strength, but through praise. And while the battle we face is not against people, the spiritual fight to protect the unborn is real. It is a battle that must be waged with prayer and worship leading the way.
That is exactly what we saw last Saturday as prayer and worship led the way and the Church stood in the gap across the nation.
Last week’s prayer walks were so far the hottest ones our cities have conducted with temperatures raising to the mid nineties by mid morning in some cities. Beyond the atmospheric temperature the spiritual temperature rose in Albuquerque, NM and Walnut Creek, CA as both cities experienced pro-abortion counter protestors for the first time during their prayer walks. This is something a few other cities have endured over the years but the first taste of this kind of opposition in these two cities. In spite of the opposition the Church was not shaken and stood firm in prayer.
Both Ventura, CA and Chicago, IL had Spanish prayer walks with Spanish speaking pastors leading their congregations in prayer and intercession at the abortion center in their city.
In Roanoke, VA the Planned Parenthood that has normally been open on Saturday’s was closed for the fourth Saturday in a row and the Planned Parenthood in Bellingham, WA was also surprisingly closed last Saturday to the excitement of the Church that showed up there to pray.
In addition to all of these challenges and amazing victories our Restored Life ministry, the abortion recovery ministry of Love Life, had more inquiries from those seeking healing from past abortions this week than any week so far in 2025 and quite possibly since Love Life began.
These are just a few of the powerful things God is doing as His Church shows up to be a voice for the voiceless. Like Paul and Silas in Acts 16, when God’s people pray and lift their voices in worship, prison doors fling open and shackles fall away. God still moves through worship. He still answers prayer.
If you live in a Love Life city, we invite you to join us on the second Saturday of every month. Come take your place on the front lines. Come sing. Come pray. Come be part of the story God is writing in your city.
If you do not yet have a Love Life chapter where you live, do not be discouraged. The same God who is moving in our cities is moving in yours. You can still pray. You can still worship. You can still stand for life right where you are.
