Last week, we began our 40-week prayer walk season—a journey from mid-February to mid-November that mirrors the 40 weeks of pregnancy. We call it a 40-week Journey of Hope because we believe that as the Church unites in prayer at the darkest places in our nation, the hope of the Gospel will shine brighter than the darkness of abortion.
In all, 42 churches and organizations united together in 26 cities across the nation. With over 2,000 believers showing up to stand for life in their city, it was the largest Week 1 prayer walk we have ever held. If you have not yet joined us this season, we invite you to stand with us—find a prayer walk in your city by visiting https://lovelife.org/locations/. Momentum is building, and we believe 2026 will be a year of amazing fruit.
With the Church united in prayer across the nation, not only did we have an amazing turnout, but there were also some significant things that took place.
In Raleigh, NC, 245 people showed up to the prayer walk, and the abortion center, which is normally open on Saturdays, was closed. This is God at work as He answers the prayers of His people.
In Pomona, CA, the sidewalk team was sharing the Gospel with a young man who came to Planned Parenthood. That young man surrendered his life to Jesus right there as the prayer walk group was praying and interceding for him and all those inside Planned Parenthood.
In South Florida, over 150 people showed up, and God was moving. While the prayer walk group was praying in front of the abortion center, two moms chose life.
In Fayetteville, NC, over 150 believers gathered for the prayer walk, and more than half made the decision to go beyond that day and commit to ongoing ministry. That level of engagement is significant. This is how the walls are rebuilt in our cities—when believers move from prayer into sustained obedience.
These are just a few of the amazing things God was doing from Seattle, WA, to Chicago, IL, to Queens, NY—from East Coast to West Coast and cities in between. God is stirring His Church to action.
As God is moving across the nation, we are burdened to see Him move in our nation’s capital. In Washington, DC, more babies are aborted each year than are born, and we believe it is time to take new ground there and contend for the same kind of breakthrough we witnessed last week.
We are currently in a $75,000 matching challenge for DC, and every dollar given will be matched through February 28. With just over $18,000 already raised, we are asking the Lord to provide the rest. Will you help us press in? Give before February 28 at https://lovelife.org/dc-match and have your impact doubled as we contend for breakthrough in our nation’s capital.
