She Called For Help And Found Jesus

Love Life is not only about saving babies from abortion but also about seeing souls saved through the Gospel. Recently, we reached a powerful milestone as over 1,200 people have surrendered their lives to Jesus through this ministry. Whether through an encounter on the sidewalk, through a connection to a House of Refuge church, or through our mentor program, lives are being transformed for eternity. And behind every number is a story of redemption, like Samantha’s.

Samantha* called one of our House of Refuge Churches, Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, for help. She was pregnant and about to be laid off from her job. On the phone, Samantha shared her worries and fears, feeling alone, overwhelmed, and unworthy of the love of Jesus. After hearing the Gospel and being reminded of how much Jesus loves her, she cried out to Him, gave her life to the Lord, and began to see the baby she carried as a blessing.

She started attending church faithfully each Sunday with her children and reading the Bible. Those who came to know her quickly saw her deep love for her family and her desire to follow the Lord. A mentor was soon matched with her, and not long after, Love Life and the church blessed her with a beautiful baby shower.

In May, Samantha welcomed her sweet and healthy baby girl. She grew in her walk with the Lord, becoming a light to her husband and children. Soon her husband began attending church as well, and before long, the family shared the news that they would all be baptized. On Saturday, August 30, Samantha and her family were baptized together at Pirates Cove.

This is the church truly being the hands and feet of Jesus, a reflection of the 1,200 lives transformed through the power of the Gospel and a reminder that Samantha’s story is just one among many. That is what the House of Refuge initiative and the broader mission of Love Life are all about, equipping the church to speak redemptively about abortion as well as share the Gospel with those facing unplanned pregnancy.
