When we launched the Pastor Pledge, we knew it was more than just a statement. It was a call to action. A call for pastors across the nation to stand together, appeal to President Trump to defund Planned Parenthood, and commit to making their churches safe places for families facing unplanned pregnancies.
Heading into the Southern Baptist Convention last week, we had 805 pastors who had already signed the pledge. Our goal was bold: reach 1,000 pastors.
By the time the week was over, over 1,200 pastors had signed.
We didn’t just meet our goal. We surpassed it.
God used our time at the SBC in powerful ways. With over 18,000 in attendance and nearly half of them pastors, we had the opportunity to share the vision face to face with hundreds of church leaders. Conversations that started with a spin on our Price Is Right style wheel quickly turned into deep moments of conviction, encouragement, and unity around this mission.
It was clear. Pastors are hungry to take a stand. Not just politically but pastorally. They want to be a refuge. They want their churches to be a place where the broken are met with love and truth.
In the coming weeks, our plan is to deliver these signatures directly to President Trump. Please be praying with us that God would remove any hurdles and open the right doors for that meeting to take place.
This is just the beginning. The Pastor Pledge is growing. The church is rising. And we believe God is preparing us for something even greater in the days ahead.
