We recently learned a sobering reality that most in the body of Christ are not aware of. According to the DC Policy Center and the Guttmacher Institute, in 2024 Washington D.C. saw more than 10,200 babies aborted while only about 7,600 babies were born. More babies died by abortion than were born. It’s heartbreaking to realize that precious lives are being destroyed at such an alarming rate in our nation’s capital. Behind these numbers are real mothers and fathers standing at a crossroads, many overwhelmed, unsupported, and unsure where to turn.
It would be easy to point our finger at politicians, but we cannot expect them to do in the halls of Congress, on the Senate floor, or in the Oval Office what the Church has refused to do in the streets. Jesus didn’t say that the gates of hell wouldn’t prevail against the political system. He said the gates of hell would not prevail against the Church. History has shown us that when the Church shows up, abortion goes down.
Now we have an opportunity to see the Church in D.C. rise up like never before, and we believe wholeheartedly that now is the time. An amazing man of God, Jordan Jackson, has stepped forward to lead the charge for Love Life in Washington D.C. Jordan has a burden to see the Church united and mobilized in his city.
Things are lining up for us to be able to launch in the coming months. The only missing piece is the funds needed to make this happen. A generous couple who wish to remain anonymous have committed to match every dollar we raise toward launching D.C., up to $75,000. In order to take full advantage of this opportunity, we must raise these funds by the end of February.
