Kiley was a pastor in South Carolina doing what many pastors do. He was preaching faithfully, leading his church, and checking all the expected boxes. But the heart of Love Life is to take pastors on a journey from apathy to action, and that was exactly the journey Kiley was about to begin. He was preaching faithfully, leading his church, and checking all the expected boxes. If you had asked him, he would have said he was pro life. But when it came to dealing directly with the issue of abortion in his city, he kept his distance.
He did what many pastors do. He posted occasionally on social media and acknowledged Sanctity of Life Sunday. But that was the extent of it. He never truly stopped to consider the weight of what was happening in his own city.
Then one day, during his daily Bible reading plan, he came across Leviticus 20. The words hit differently. God was not just condemning child sacrifice. He was holding His people accountable when they turned a blind eye. In that moment, Kiley realized he had not just been uninvolved. He had been disobedient.
Though he felt conviction, he still did nothing. Ministry was hard. The timing did not feel right.
But God kept working.
One evening, while driving through downtown Greenville with his wife, Kiley heard someone preaching on a megaphone. They rolled down the window and saw one man standing alone with a sign. One side had an image of an unborn child. The other showed an African slave. People were cursing at him, mocking him. But he stayed.
Kiley looked at his wife and said, “What kind of courage does it take to be that man?”
That moment stayed with him.
He called a friend and said, “Meet me at the abortion center this Saturday. If I go alone, I might find an excuse not to go.”
That weekend, Kiley saw abortion for what it really was. Women went in pregnant and came out not. He saw men on the sidewalk with Bibles in hand. Praying. Preaching. Offering hope. No titles. No platforms. Just faithfulness.
Today, Kiley serves as the City Director for Love Life Greenville. But not every pastor is called to be a City Director like Kiley. At the heart of our mission is to take pastors like him on a journey from just believing abortion is wrong to taking action in their city, and bringing their congregations along that journey too. Every pastor may not lead a city, but every pastor should do something about the number one moral issue of their day, abortion. The same pastor who once stayed silent is now helping mobilize others just like him. Pastors who feel the same conviction. Pastors who are ready to say yes.
Through church partnerships, prayer walks, and gospel outreach, Kiley is helping the Church in Greenville confront the number one moral issue of our time. Now they are quiet.
Since stepping into this mission, Kiley has helped mobilize more than 60 churches in the Greenville area. And already, nearly 100 babies have been saved. These are real lives. Real stories. And real fruit from a church that is saying yes to God.
And it is not just Kiley. Behind every story like his are people who give and pray. People who make this ministry possible.
