Because Roe Fell, the Church Must Continue to Rise

Today marks the three year anniversary of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision that opened the floodgates of death into our nation.

For nearly 50 years, over 63 million innocent lives were lost under its shadow.

But the Church did not stay silent.

For years, believers across the nation prayed, acted, and cried out for justice. And miraculously, during one of the most pro-abortion presidencies in our history, God heard our cry. On June 24, 2022, Roe v. Wade was overturned.

That moment marked a spiritual and legal turning point in our nation. While this is certainly a time for rejoicing, we must also realize that the battle is not over. The fall of Roe was not the end, but the beginning of a new chapter in the fight to protect life.

And now more than ever, the Church must rise.

The Battle Moved and So Must We

Since the fall of Roe, abortion has not disappeared. The battle lines have simply been redrawn.

Some states have stepped up to protect life. Others have increased their support for abortion, funding abortion tourism, protecting abortion providers from accountability, and inviting women from pro-life states to cross borders to have abortions and take the lives of their children.

In many ways, abortion has moved from the clinic to the mailbox. More women are now receiving abortion pills by mail, and even in states with strong pro-life protections, abortions continue quietly behind closed doors. The fight is no longer just about brick and mortar abortion centers. It’s about equipping the Church to be a place of refuge for families considering abortion and reaching women with hope and help before they seek it.

Make no mistake. When Roe fell, the enemy did not retreat. He simply changed his tactics.

And if we are truly a people of life, if we believe these are real children made in the image of God, then we cannot sit back. Now is not the time to stay quiet or play it safe. It is time to act.

At Love Life, we’ve responded by pressing into the darkest places. That is why we are expanding into places like San Diego, Washington DC, and Seattle, where the resistance is strong but the need is even greater.

We are not waiting for culture to change. We are calling the Church to confront the culture of death with with a culture of LOVE and LIFE.

The Church Is Still God’s Plan A

Jesus said that the gates of hell would not prevail against the Church. We believe that God has given His Church the charge to reflect the glory of Christ in the earth and to rescue those who are being led to the slaughter.

God has always used His people to bring His light into dark places.

We have seen what happens when the Church shows up. Moms choose life. Fathers rise to lead. Babies are saved. Hearts are healed. And entire cities are transformed.

But this only happens when ordinary believers say yes.

Three years after the fall of Roe, the assignment has not changed. It has intensified.

The darkness is still deep. The deception is still strong. But so is the invitation from Heaven:

“Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?”

Now is not the time for comfort or retreat. It is a time for rebuilding. A time for running toward the broken, not away from the battle. A time for faith that doesn’t flinch.

God has already moved mountains, He is still moving them, and He is inviting His people to move with Him.

Because Roe fell, the Church must continue to rise up. The mission is not over, and now is the time for even greater faithfulness, greater courage, and greater unity. If you want to join us in this mission, consider covering this ministry in prayer, giving generously, or serving on the front lines as we work to see families find hope and help through the local Church.
