Christina Chose Life-Now Her Family Needs Our Help
Christina was in a dark place. Pregnant with her seventh child and struggling to make ends meet, she felt like abortion was her only way out. She had scheduled four abortion appointments but never followed through. On her fifth attempt, something incredible happened—she met the Church.
Outside a Planned Parenthood in Northern California, she encountered Brenda, a Love Life Sidewalk Outreach volunteer, who offered her something she hadn’t expected: hope. Instead of walking into the clinic, Christina chose life for her baby that day.
Brenda immediately connected Christina to a mentor, Joyce, who asked her what she needed most. With tears in her eyes, Christina replied, “I need a mom.” Joyce didn’t hesitate—she stepped into that role, offering Christina the love and guidance she had been longing for.
Christina was introduced to a church family at Destiny Christian Center, a House of Refuge church, where she found more than just support—she found a loving church family. Over the next few months, she and her children faithfully attended church, and eventually, Christina surrendered her life to Jesus. Her husband, Joey, began joining her at Bible studies whenever he could, and together, they are building a new foundation for their family.
This transformation was evident when Destiny Christian Center hosted a baby shower for Christina. Surrounded by people who had walked this journey with her, she stood up and gave testimony of her faith
in Christ and her deep gratitude for those who had been by her side. As a final act of love and trust, she asked Joyce to be with her in the delivery room when her baby is born.
Christina and Joey are working hard to provide for their growing family, but one challenge remains: they need a reliable family vehicle. With Joey needing their only car for work, Christina struggles to get to doctor’s appointments, church, and care for their children. Their mentors, Bill and Joyce, are helping them find a safe and dependable vehicle, but the cost is significant—$30,000-$37,000.
Our goal is to raise $35,000 to meet this need.
