A few months ago, Love Life Raleigh was contacted by one of our House of Refuge churches with an urgent request. A young mother living in a local rescue mission needed help. She was just a few weeks away from giving birth and had no one to care for her four daughters, ages 1, 2, 3, and 4. She was overwhelmed and considering an adoption plan for her unborn baby.
That request led us to the Frye family. A pastor, his wife, and their 10-year-old daughter heard the need and immediately said yes. Just days later, Mama H gave birth earlier than expected, and the Fryes welcomed the four little girls into their home that same night—without ever having met them.
After having the baby and learning about her adoption options, Mama H decided to place the baby with the Fryes, who were already adoption ready through a local agency. Now all five girls would be together.
Today, Mama H is making real progress. She completed a job program at the mission and is actively working to secure stable housing, employment, and childcare. She has asked the Frye family to continue caring for her daughters at least through December, and they lovingly agreed.
This family of three became a family of eight in a single day. Their church community has stepped in with meals, clothing, cribs, diapers, and preschool access, but the needs are still great. It’s important that we raise these funds by July 23 so the Frye’s have the resources they need to provide for these little girls and so they can start preschool with confidence and stability.
We are praying for $5,760 to help with:
Preschool registration for the four girls: $540
Monthly preschool tuition from September through December: $1,080 per month
Monthly fresh food and household supplies: $150 per month
Your generosity will directly support this faithful family as they care for five precious children who are thriving as the Frye’s provide the stability, safety, and love they need.
*Any funds raised above and beyond the Frye family’s needs will go toward supporting other moms in need and advancing the mission of Love Life. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@lovelife.org.
*Update: The Church Showed Up
We asked the Church to rally around the Frye family and you did. Because of your generosity, the needs we shared have been fully met. This is a powerful reminder of what happens when the Body of Christ comes together in love and unity.
Because of the abundance of support that came in, we are also able to help with additional needs including adoption fees as they move forward with adopting the baby, as well as bunk beds and mattresses for the other girls.
Thank you for standing with this family and for being part of their story.
